About Mrs. Janssen
My name is Kim Janssen, and I currently hold two positions with the Attleboro Public School System. I am a Transition Specialist at Attleboro High School. I also serve as the District Assistive Technology Coordinator.
I have been teaching in the Attleboro School District for the last 19 years. Prior to teaching, I worked as a Graphics Designer for a consulting firm in Boston. I received a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the College of Charleston, and a Master's Degree from Lesley University in Instructional Technology. In 2007, I fused two of my favorite educational interests and received a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Special Education (Assistive Technology Focus), from Simmon's University. I have taught a wide range of areas from the college level to elementary-aged learners.
It is fascinating to see learners utilize technology as a tool in their learning journey. I am so lucky to observe this at my work and home environments. I live in Plainville with my husband, two curious children (aged 5 and 7) and one very energetic English Springer Spaniel.
